Directors

Brandon Bill

Director: Brandon Bill

Brandon considers himself fortunate to make the performing arts his career. As a director, music director, designer, and performer, Mr. Bill’s work can be seen all over the Denver area including the Arvada Center, Aurora Fox, and PACE Center to name a few. Brandon holds a performing arts degree from the University of Northern Colorado, and as a former professional educator, Brandon adores bringing the arts to people. Including working for the Walt Disney Company, other productions include: “Shrek the Musical” (Shrek), “Nevermore” (Music Director, regional premiere), “The Producers” (Max), “A Christmas Carol” (Director), “Steel Magnolias” (Director), “The Fantasticks” (Music Director), “Spamalot” (Sir Lancelot), “Mary Poppins” (George Banks), “A Year with Frog and Toad” (Frog), “The Wizard of Oz” (Lion), and others.

April Alsup

Music Director: April Alsup

April is foremost a composer, a pianist and a storyteller and has never considered herself a music director per se. For smaller off-Broadway theaters the music for WYSIWYG can be performed with only a piano and no ensemble. Amazingly, one night at Teatro LATEA April performed the entire work from memory after forgetting to bring her iPad to the show. While Brandon took on much of the early vocal direction with the cast. April played the rehearsals and performances.  She developed her passion for Broadway show tunes in college as the house pianist on the Becky Thatcher Riverboat. More recently, as a member of the Central City Opera board of directors, she helped steer the organization to have a greater emphasis on American Music Theater.
