April: Blake Nawa'a
Blake is a Denver area music director and performer. He graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance with distinction Summa Cum Laude at the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music. Recent roles have been Chip Tolentino in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Bobby in DU's mainstage production of Urinetown. Aside from performing, he conducted Inspire Creative's The Producers and previously music directed the Colorado regional premiere of Lysistrata Jones with Ignite Theater. Blake is extremely honored to help build such a meaningful and timely show as WYSISWYG, and especially to lend himself to the creation of April.
Denise: Kelly Zick
Kelly is a Mezzo-Soprano specializing in both classical and musical theatre singing. She recently graduated from the Lamont School of Music at DU with a Masters of Music in vocal performance, and studied with Kate Emerich. Kelly is very excited for and humbled by the opportunity to bring this passionate music to audiences, and to bring attention to the matters of acceptance, support, and love of an individual regardless of gender identity or sexual preference.
Carl: Drew Bradley
Drew is a recent graduate of the University of Denver's Lamont School of music. He has performed internationally in Milan, Italy, as well as locally around Colorado in many musicals and operas. He also performs with many bands around Denver and the surrounding area. He has been writing music for years, and feels comfortable with styles from folk to electronica. His diverse background have lead to dreams of becoming a rockstar... or opera singer... or both.
Mark: Nick Trotter
Nick has an MFA from the Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theatre. He specializes in Clown, Bouffon, Commedia, and puppetry and is a noted mask and prosthetic designer. His multidisciplinary project Circo de Nada fuses improv theatre, mask, music and puppetry, and he performs locally and internationally as the clown Ferdinand the Magnificent. Circo's original production of Three Bottles of Wine, a classic Commedia piece, is debuting in the Denver area in 2014. He is a member of the comedy duo Third Base! with Jerry Lee Wallace, and their production Myths of the Plastic Age has been entertaining audiences in northern California since 2009.
