WYSIWYG Meaning

What does the acronym "WYSIWYG" mean?

WYSIWYG (WIZ-ee-wig) is an acronym for "What You See Is What You Get". In computing, a WYSIWYG editor is a system in which content (text and graphics) can be edited in a form that closely resembles its appearance when printed or displayed as a finished product, such as a printed document, web page, or slide presentation. Ironically, the website you are looking at right now was created entirely in a WYSIWYG software application.

In our musical, WYSIWYG is a metaphor that refers to the juxtaposition between each character online in cyberspace and offline in the real world.
